Drawing & Student Sheets

The “see, hear, do” methodology which TPSB incorporates, has long been recognized as an effective way to increase comprehension and retention in both children and adults. TPSB illustrations consist of simple symbols with a basic Bible narrative resulting in a wide age-range application and multicultural acceptance.

The Master Drawing contains major concepts from each book in the Bible and the Script is all you will need to say when teaching.

TPSB MASTER SHEET AND SCRIPT

The Master Sheet

Key concepts for each Bible book (Genesis to Revelation) are pictured on one 8.5 x 11 sheet.

These Master Drawings provide a visual guide as you develop key concepts while going through a book of the Bible.

The Script (Lesson)

The script for each Bible book includes easy-to-follow instructions regarding when and what to draw and read. In the script, you will find…

  • The Book Orientation explains how each book relates to the previous book so students can see the Bible as a whole.
  • The Commentary (the script) can be read word-for-word or paraphrased as you teach. There are wide margins for your personal notes.
  • The Drawing Directions show when and what to write, draw or trace on the Student Sheets. This includes small, progressive drawings for you to follow as you direct your students.
  • Applications for Life. At the end of every book-script are suggested discussion questions to challenge your student’s comprehension and understanding. These questions can be adapted to different age levels.

Each of the student sheets is fully reproducible for your own use.

The Student Sheet

Student sheets (located in the resource section) match the Master Drawings. These can be duplicated for each student and copied onto transparencies for classroom use.  Artistic skills are not necessary to draw. Students simply trace a preprinted dotted outline and then add color while listening to the script and discussing the book with the teacher. An impression is made not only on the paper but in the mind and heart as well!
